Full Beat: 10. I’m Up Here, Where Are You?: MC1 undergoes significant change, becoming closer to their ideal self and learning something new about themselves that prepares them for the hardest part of their journey. This important insight, often referred to as “the answer,” usually comes from a wise mentor. The hero ultimately achieves their goal, which may involve a battle against an enemy or facing their own dark side, causing them to question the value of what they seek. The love interests feel overwhelmed, retreating and misunderstanding each other, leading to doubts about their future together.
Half-beat (1st half): 11. Clean Break: MC1 is reluctant to return home after reaching their goal due to fear of the unknown, attachment to their new life, or concerns over the consequences of their powers. They may feel comfortable in their current world. The main characters feel betrayal after trusting someone, leading them to strengthen their resolve to remain alone. They breakup, though the possibility of reconciliation remains.
- Lulia can now control her glow or can now train on her own or with the Space Cowboy. Maybe a line saying something like, “After a few more sessions, Lulia learned to control her glow” (for word conservation)??? Wes (the mentor) tells her of her power and how it works and how powerful and important she is, etc.???
- Moon Boat is a real boat?? Joppy’s family (the Jampsons) has a Moon Boat and the Space Cowboy has a Moon Boat?? Lulia’s power controls Moon Boats or is a power source for Moon Boats. Joppy wouldn’t have sex with Lulia because she needs to abstain to concentrate her powers or something?? So now she is banned from having sex so she can “power” the Space Cowboy’s Moon Boat??
- An increase in physical danger? The Jampsons have a monster?? An attacking Moon Boat?? Just send the police or military or something after Lulia, et al?? As the Moon Boat is being prepped to go, and they are waiting for the crystal to arrive to heal Cannon, there is the threat of the next wave of danger sent by the Jampsons. Ticking clock type shit.
- Luila talks with Cannon, he is upset, his whole thing was to play the lute and with an injured arm that path is closed to him. He feels vulnerable and lashes out at Lulia as she explains how Wes (the mentor) has told her she is very powerful and important. He even accuses her of fucking the Space Cowboy or Wes (or both), but she explains she has to abstain to concentrate her power (also she only wants to fuck Cannon, what with the growing love between them and whatnot). He does not believe her, they argue and she feels disrespected by Cannon for the first time, and thinks maybe he didn’t really care for her, only her pussy???? She is becoming overly confident and arrogant because of her inflated ego, maybe she is not as kind and understanding to Cannon as she would have been previously.
- Is Lulia a Moon Person??
- Lulia questions if she wants to be a powerful person, maybe she just wants to settle down with Cannon somewhere. She is convinced by appealing to her need for independence.
