Character Sheets for Untitled Romantasy Project

Lulia Hawkthorne:

21 years old, beautiful

- Chp 1 : Lulia surprises Joppy in the woods with a romantic situation.  Her seduction is rejected and she confronts Joppy about his constant sexual rejection of her and expresses her frustration.  Lulia goes home, removes her engagement ring, leaves a short note, and leaves in the middle of the night to go to the big city.  Once there, she is robbed by a gang of children.  She considers going back home.  With her last coins, she goes to a bar (The Ladder and Mud) and sees Cannon playing music, is inspired by his good looks and his skill and decides to ask the bartender if he is hiring.

- Chp 2 : Lulia makes herself sexually available to the bartender, Wes.  During the act, her skin glows golden.  She says it happens “when I feel everything at once”.  She feels conflicted afterward; thinking she felt beautiful and empowered with the good sex, but is afraid she used Wes.  He assures her it is all good, she is not alone, and encourages her to explore her own needs and wants.

- Chp 3 : Lulia and Cannon become more intimate in the dressing room of the tavern.  They are interrupted by a commotion and discover Joppy, drunk and yelling for her.  After a magic battle, Lulia tries to revive an injured Joppy using her powers, but it is too late.  She explodes in magical force and upsets the lanterns in the tavern, setting the place on fire.  She and Cannon flee on the advice of Wes.

- Chp 4 : Lulia escapes the Ladder and Mud Tavern with Cannon, jumping into Joppy's demon horse drawn carriage.  As they ride away, Lulia notices Cannon is injured and uses her powers to heal him.  She reveals how Joppy had been very controlling in their relationship.  Cannon assures her he likes her as she is, a beautiful, independent woman.  Cannon's lips become intimately familiar with Lulia's pussy.  The carriage stops at a gate guarded by a man Lulia seems to recognize.

- Chp 5 : Lulia and Cannon arrive at Dakari Duskhollow.  She is shocked and enraged to hear of Joppy’s secret life there is filled with dark magic, sacrifices, and whoring.  The gateman, happy to hear of Joppy’s death, allows them to stay in the brothel and Cannon plays his lute for her in their room.  Joppy’s family storms in and a battle ensues.  Lulia is cut on the cheek, uses her power to destroy someone, punches another in the mouth, shattering their teeth and bloodying her knuckles, she is cut on her shouler, she blasts that attacker to death with her powers.  She exhausts herself in the battle, but one last desperate blast took out another handful of Joppy’s kin.  The Space Cowboy enters and kills the last attackers, she recognizes him as Wes’ brother.  She goes to Cannon to zap his injuries away, but she is not powerful enough to heal him.  She demands an artifact to empower her.  Although terrified, she can feel the Space Cowboy, “the weight of his attention, the quiet gravity of a man who looked at her like she was both dangerous and holy”

- Chp 6: Lulia awakes in a bed, fully healed.  Wes and the Space Cowboy are nearby, sitting at a table.  She is warned that her glow is what the Jampsons are using to track her and she must learn to control her glow.  The Space Cowboy teases her to illicit her glowing, encouraging her to control it.  She does a decent job.  She reveals the constellation of the Moon Boat upon her “release”.  She is torn between her growing attachment to the Space Cowboy and her attachment to Cannon.

- Chp 7: Lulia is at Cannon’s side when he regains consciousness.  She reassures him that she still cares deeply for him, although he can no longer play the lute and his life will have to change.  She can tell Cannon does not fully believe that she has not been romantically attached to the Space Cowboy when she says she has been “training” with him for the month Cannon has been unconscious.  Through the training, Lulia has learned the nature of her powers and how to use them.  Because of her doubt about Cannon’s words, she tries to use her powers to enter his mind and find the truth, but finds it foggy and blocked. 

- Chp 8: Lulia continues to train with the Space Cowboy, with the training advancing from simple teasing to full on sex.  She is having a good time and is becoming bonded with the Space Cowboy.  During a session, she hears a commotion from the bar downstairs.  She runs to see what happened and finds Wes dead and Cannon a gibbering mess.  She asks Cannon what happened, he calls her a whore and tries to strangle her.  She escapes him and the Space Cowboy recognizes that Cannon has been taken by a Jampson Spirit Snare and is no longer himself.  Lulia mourns this.

- Chp 9: While Cannon and the Space Cowboy are fighting, Lulia tries to reach into Cannon and release him from the Jampsons.  Fails.  She calls out to Cannon to fight it.  He cannot.  She decides there is only one way to end this and uses her power in a giant blast that destroys the entire neighbourhood.  She find the Space Cowboy injured and trapped.  She vows to get him to the Moon Boat to heal him. 

Joppy Jampson:

21 years old, tall, good looking

- Chp 1 : Lulia lures him to the woods and tries to seduce him.  He rejects her and tells her that he is only interested in marital, procreative sex.  Lulia yells at him about her needs.  He leaves the woods embarrassed and angry.

- Chp 3 : Joppy comes to The Ladder and Mud, drunk and yelling for Lulia.  Cannon confronts him and Joppy uses his magic to throw Cannon across the room.  Wes tells Joppy to leave and attacks Joppy using his spectral beast magic.  Lulia tries to revive Joppy after the attack, but it is too late.  Joppy dies.   Bye bye Joppy...

Cannon Dawdinstry:

21 years old, good looking

 - Chp 1: He is a musician, playing a gig at the tavern, “The Ladder and Mud”.  Lulia watches his performance and is inspired by his artistry and good looks. 

- Chp 2 : He is playing music at the “Ladder and Mud” tavern.   He plays a lute.

- Chp 3 : Lulia and Cannon become more intimate in the dressing room of the tavern.  They are interrupted by a commotion and discover Joppy, drunk and yelling for her.  Cannon tells Joppy to leave and is attacked with Joppy’s magic, thrown across the room and struck unconscious.  After Joppy is killed, Cannon and Lulia flee on the advice of Wes.

- Chp 4 : Cannon escapes with Lulia in Joppy's demon horse driven carriage.  His wounds are healed by Lulia and her powers.  They talk of Lulia's toxic relationship with Joppy and Cannon lets her know she is beautiful and he supports her independence.  He eats her out expertly.  The carriage stops at a gate guarded by a strange man he does not recognize, but Lulia seems to.  

- Chp 5 :Lulia and Cannon arrive at Dakari Duskhollow.  They are both shocked to learn of Joppy’s secret, murderous, and libidinous life at Dakari.  Lulia wants to explode with anger, but Cannon talks to the gateman and calms Lulia. The gateman, happy to hear of Joppy’s death, allows them to stay in the brothel and Cannon plays his lute for her in their room.  Joppy’s family storms in and a battle ensues.  Cannon smashes a skull in with a chair, then is attacked by a spirit beast which destroys his arm.  He collapses on the floor.  Lulia fights on and kills nearly everyone left, but the Space Cowboy comes in and takes out the last of the attackers.  Lulia goes to Cannon and tries to save him, but even Cannon knows it isn’t working. 

- Chp 6: Cannon is in a different room from Lulia as he recovers from his injuries.  The “Breathglass shard” is on its way to heal him completely.

- Chp 7: Cannon awakes with Lulia at his side.  He is extremely distressed, physically and mentally.  Lulia is there and tells him he has been unconscious for a month.  He sees the damage to his hand and realizes that his whole life must change; he will never play his lute again.  When Lulia tells him she has used the month he was unavailable to train with the Space Cowboy, he assumes she has been romantic with the Space Cowboy.  She denies this, pledging herself to Cannon and their future together.  Cannon agrees, but is lying.  He is plagued by a whispering voice inside him, a vestige of the evil power that the Jampsons attacked him with, and that tells him his power now is in getting revenge upon those who saved him to live a life without his music.

- Chp 8: Cannon stumbles to the bar where Wes is serving.  He is weak and pale, strange.  He asks for Lulia, Wes tells him she is training.  Cannon goes upstairs and sees through a crack in the door that Lulia and the Space Cowboy are fucking.  He feels abandoned and infuriated.  He goes back to the bar and kills Wes using a dark magic blast.  Lulia and the Space Cowboy come down and she asks Cannon what happened.  He calls her a whore and tries to strangle her, she escapes him. 

- Chp 9: Cannon is overtaken by the Jampson’s Spirit Snare.  He fights the Space Cowboy with the Jampson’s dark magic and is moderately injured by the Space Cowboy in the fight.  He pushes through the Spirit Snare briefly to beg Lulia to help him.  She blows up the bordello and the surrounding neighbourhood and Cannon dies and is released from the Jampsons.

Wes, Bartender at the Ladder and Mud:

40 years old, bearded

 - Chp 1 : He tells Lulia that the musician playing at his bar, “The Ladder and Mud” is named Cannon Dawdinstry.  Lulia asks him for a job at the tavern.

- Chp 2 : He has sex with Lulia (pleasant) and then mentors her and empathizes with her, encouraging her to explore her own needs and wants.  He assures her she is not alone, he will help guide her.

- Chp 3 : After Joppy attacks Cannon at the tavern, Wes brings out a magical weapon and summons a spectral beast.  The beast attacks and kills Joppy.  Wes advises Cannon and Lulia to flee the city, as Joppy’s people will be out for revenge.

- Chp 4 : As Lulia and Cannon escape Wes throws them a bag of supplies, urging them to hurry away as Joppy's family will be there soon.  After they get away, Joppy's family do arrive and capture and torture him.  He stands up for Lulia and her strength when the family talk badly about her.

- Chp 6: Wes is sitting with his brother at a table as Lulia comes to in her bed.  He is relieved to see she is completely healed from the battle.  He says he escaped from the Jampsons during the fray.  He explains to her that her glow is the way the Jampsons are tracking them and she must learn to control it.  He tells her Cannon is alive and recovering in a different room, and they are waiting for a “Breathglass shard” to arrive to heal him completely.    

- Chp 7: Wes is overheard discussing supplies with someone in the next room by Cannon when Cannon emerges from his coma.

- Chp 8: Wes is working behind the bar (at the bordello?) and tells Cannon, when asked, that Lulia is training with the Space Cowboy.  Cannon leaves the bar briefly and when he returns, he blasts Wes with dark magic and Wes is killed.

Wes’ Brother, "The Space Cowboy":

- Chp 2 : Wes has a picture of himself and his brother in his room.  His brother is dressed as a cowboy and Wes says of his brother:  “Hes a wanderer, a stargazer. Comes and goes. Thinks the stars have secrets.”

- Chp 5 : In the brothel of Dakari Duskhollow, Joppy’s kin storm in and fight Lulia and Cannon.  Although the couple do a great job in taking almost all of them out, when there is two left, Cannon is on the ground bleeding out and Lulia is exhausted from the battle.  The Space Cowboy comes in and kills the last of the attackers with his magic starfire guns.  She is stunned and amazed by Lulia and her glow.  He watches as she tries to save Cannon’s life, but she is too weak on her own, demanding an artifact to empower her.  The Space Cowboy is drawn to Lulia and fears her.  Lulia feels “the weight of his attention, the quiet gravity of a man who looked at her like she was both dangerous and holy”

- Chp 6: The Space Cowboy is sitting at a table with his brother as Lulia comes to in her bed.  After Lulia is told that her glow is how the Jampsons are tracking her and she must learn to control her glowing.  He takes her to another room (some would call it a sex dungeon) where he physically and psychically teases her to bring her glow out, while encouraging her to control it.  He is pleased with her efforts and tells her that the constellation revealed at her “release” (The Moon Boat) is what they have been waiting for, the path they can now follow.  He pledges to always be there for her and to help her and guide her.

- Chp 8: He is training Lulia with an intense sex session; they are having a great time together and are bonding nicely.  There is a commotion from the bar downstairs and he rushes there with Lulia to see what is going on.  Wes is dead, a hole in his chest from a dark magic blast.  Cannon attacks Lulia and the Space Cowboy draws his weapon.  Lulia escapes Cannon, and the Space Cowboy recognizes that Cannon is no longer himself, having been taken over by a Spirit Snare implanted by the Jampson’s during their attack on the bordello.

- Chp 9: The Space Cowboy and Cannon fight.  They are both moderately injured.  When Lulia blows up the neighbourhood with her power, he is trapped under a beam and is very injured.  He tells Lulia to get him to the Moon Boat and he will be healed.  She locates the Moon Boat and pledges to get him there.

Gateman:

- Chp 4 : Lulia and Cannon arrive in Joppy's demon horse drawn carriage, and he is standing at the gate.

- Chp 5 : When Joppy’s carriage arrives at Dakari Duskhollow, he assumes it is Joppy inside and assures him everything is ready for his usual; including sacrifices and whores to fuck.  He is surprised to see an enraged Lulia emerge from the carriage and Cannon tells him that Joppy died in a barfight.  Gateman seems pleased that Joppy is dead and offers a room in the brothel for the couple, at least for the night.

Bordello Guards: 

- Chp 9: During the final battle in the bordello, the Jampsons enter through a portal, and the bordello guards appear to fight them (“rough men and women wielding sawed off rifles, cleavers, and anything they could grab.”).  All are killed in the blast from Lulia that levels the building.   

 

Joppy's Kin (Arcane Dark Magic Users)

Woman, older, "cloaked in purple and power, held a rune-stamped scroll."

- Chp 4 : She comes to The Ladder and Mud after it has been burned down.  Along with 2 other people, she captures and tortures Wes.  She reveals that as Lulia glows stronger and brighter with love and passion, it is easier to track her.

Youngest noble, male?, has a glass scrying orb

- Chp 4 : He comes to The Ladder and Mud after it has been burned down.  Along with 2 other people, he captures and tortures Wes.  He revels Lulia is near Dakari Duskhollow, and she is unsafe (from their pursuit).  His orb glows when Lulia does.

The Third Jampson, nothing is known about them

- Chp 4 : They come to The Ladder and Mud after it has been burned down.  Along with 2 other people, they capture and torture Wes. 

Dakari Duskhollow Attack Team

- Chp 5 : Unnamed and uncounted attackers from Joppy's family storm the brothel at Dakari Duskhollow and are all wiped out by Cannon, Lulia, and The Space Cowboy.

Elder Jampson Noble (Male):

- Chp 8: At the Jampson estate, he reveals that the Jampson’s attack (“Spirit Snare”) on Cannon has implanted a darkness into Cannon and it has taken hold. 

Younger Jampson woman:

- Chp 8: At the Jampson estate, she uses the scrying pool to track Cannon since he has been implanted with a “Spirit Snare” the Jampson’s now have power over and in him.

Jampson Portal Team:

- Chp 9: During the final battle in the bordello, a portal from the Jampson Estate opens and out pours an undetermined number of Jampsons (“robed figures, their eyes like polished stone, blades dripping with shadow.”) They fight with the bordello guards.  When Lulia attacks the portal, some are killed.  Those not hurt by the portal attacks are killed in the blast from Lulia that levels the building.
